HOW ANTLER WORKS

Our residency is designed to support founders in the earliest stage of their entrepreneurial journey.

The Residency

The Residency is how we get to know founders and build conviction before investing. We don’t decide on a single pitch: we work alongside founders and see how they execute.

Apply anytime. Applications are always open. The Residency runs in two editions per year, teams join and leave at different moments, and the length of each journey depends on their progress.

A track for every stage. You join at your current stage: Ideation, Validation or Traction, and move forward as you build evidence.

Execution first. We expect real progress every week, and we work closely with you to get there: a dedicated point of contact, regular mentoring with our partners and access to other founders and investors.

Acess to perks. Almost US$1M in credits and discounts from partners (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Cloud and AWS). See all perks →

Community and long-term partnership. Join a curated community with events, experienced operators, investors and the global Antler network. When your company is ready, we invest and stay on as a long-term partner.

Our Investment

Our standard deal: up to R$ 2,000,000

Most founders receive our standard investment package. Here's how it works:
‍
R$ 1MM initial commitment: R$ 500K convertible note at 8% (equity) + an additional R$ 500K via uncapped convertible, with an MFN clause and a 10% discount to the next round.
‍
Plus, access to up to R$ 1MM in matched co-investment during your first year.

Post-Investment

Once we invest, we stay on as a long-term partner:

Hands-on support. The Antler team stays close, with mentoring at every stage of your company’s growth.

Fundraising support. Preparation for your next round and access to our network of co-investors.

Follow-on capital. We can co-invest in your next round, and continue backing our best-performing companies in later rounds.

Community and global platform. Stay connected with other founders, the Antler team and our events, with access to 1,800+ portfolio companies and 27 offices worldwide for customers, hires and investors. Our São Paulo office is open whenever you want to use it.

Perks. Up to US$4M in credits and discounts from partners such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Cloud and AWS. See all perks →

My experience at Antler was excellent: I met my co-founder there, accessed valuable content and relevant people, and gained the momentum needed to quickly bring our thesis to life. In just ten weeks, we went from zero to a company with a product, customers, support, and capital to start in a structured way.

Antler's residency was a game-changer experience for me. The access to a rich network of founders, venture capitalists, and experts, combined with their hands-on support, accelerated my learning curve and helped validate and refine my startup concept. Their ability to anticipate challenges and provide strategic guidance during the early stage was key in setting us on the path to success.

Entrepreneurship has always been a big dream. But we don’t always have everything aligned to embark on this journey. Antler's residency not only introduced me to like-minded individuals who shared my ambition to create something impactful, but the 10-week deadline also pushed me to refine my goals. Ultimately, I was able to secure investment for my venture thanks to a strong pitch and the support of a co-founder I met during the residency.

We’re making progress inevitable in the Brazilian early-stage

Fuelled by a passion that goes beyond traditional investing, we exist to increase our founders’ speed and maximize their success rate in solving important problems.

FREQUENTLY —ASKED QUESTIONS

The Antler Residency is not a program with a fixed cohort. As an early-stage VC fund, we use the Residency as our investment diligence: a continuous company-building environment where we work alongside founders over time to build conviction before investing.

Investment decisions are based on execution, learning velocity and the potential to build a venture-scale business. When a team is ready, it goes to our Investment Committee at any time.

The Residency runs on a rolling basis: applications are always open, and founders join throughout the year in one of two editions (January–June and August–December). There is no fixed length. Each team gets support tailored to its stage, from ideation to traction, and stays as long as its progress requires.

We’re looking for exceptional people with the ambition to build venture-scale technology companies.

You can apply at any stage. Founders join one of three tracks:

  • Ideation: you’re still looking for the right problem, a co-founder or both.
  • Validation: you have a thesis and a team, and you’re testing whether customers will pay.
  • Traction: you have a product in the market and early revenue.

What matters most is the quality of the founder, their ability to execute and the size of the opportunity they’re pursuing.

Eligibility: companies incorporated in Brazil or with 70%+ of revenue from Brazil.

No.

Many founders join Antler solo. If you're still looking for a co-founder, the Residency gives you access to a highly curated community of exceptional builders. If you already have a team, you'll continue developing your company together.

Most of your time goes into building your company.

Each founder has a dedicated point of contact and regular mentoring with our partners. Founders also join AMAs with experienced founders and investors, plus community events.

You move between tracks based on progress, and when there is enough evidence, your company can go to our Investment Committee.

No.

Joining the Residency does not guarantee an investment. The Residency is where we build conviction by working closely with founders over time.

Companies that demonstrate exceptional execution, ambition, and venture-scale potential may receive an investment from Antler.

Our standard investment package totals R$2 million.

It includes:

R$ 1MM initial commitment

  • R$500K convertible note at 8%
  • Additional R$500K via uncapped convertible note, with an MFN clause and a 10% discount to the next round

Plus access to up to R$1M in matched co-investment during your first year.

These are our standard investment terms. In exceptional situations, the investment structure may differ depending on the company's stage and circumstances.

Yes.

We expect founders to be fully committed to building their company, with real progress every week. There’s no requirement to work from our office, but founders who engage with the community usually get the most out of the Residency.

No. There is no attendance requirement, and mentoring sessions take place online, so you can stay focused on building your company.

That said, we believe exceptional founders build faster when they're part of a community.

Our São Paulo office is open to residents, and we host community events, AMAs and informal gatherings with founders, the Antler team, operators and investors.

Coaching sessions take place both online and in person, giving founders the flexibility to receive support while staying focused on building their companies.

There is no attendance requirement. However, founders who engage most actively with the community and spend more time at the Residency consistently get the greatest value from the experience.
