Ros Bazany, Partner and Head of ESG and Impact at Antler, was recognized by the Private Equity International (PEI) Group as one of the "Women of Influence in Private Markets" for her leadership and contributions to sustainability in venture capital. Ros was among 42 women selected from over 500 nominations across infrastructure, private debt, private equity, real estate, venture capital, and cross asset categories.
Some of her key initiatives include:
Antler Sustainability Toolkit
Ros launched the Antler Sustainability Toolkit as an educational resource for founders, now used by over 2,500 individuals globally. The toolkit simplifies complex sustainability concepts and provides actionable steps for startups at various growth stages. Open-sourced last year, it is continuously updated to ensure that founders have access to the best practices needed to scale their businesses with success. This initiative has empowered founders to integrate sustainability from the outset, equipping them with tools to build more resilient companies aligned with investor expectations and market demands.
Antler Sustainability Health Checks
Ros also developed Antler's Sustainability Health Checks, an innovative method for tracking sustainability progress across the portfolio. This process not only collects data relevant to early-stage companies but also provides personalized, actionable feedback tailored to each company’s specific growth stage. These health checks help founders identify sustainability risks and opportunities, ensuring that sustainability becomes a core driver of value creation. As a result, companies are better positioned to improve their operational performance and enhance their long-term financial returns.
Creating a sustainability-centric culture
Ros launched the Sustainability Heroes L&D program to upskill Antler employees across 12 locations and 8 functions. This program included workshops, group assignments, and case studies led by external sustainability experts, equipping employees with the skills needed to support founders and drive change. Ros has also led several DEI initiatives within Antler and the broader startup ecosystem, including her roles on Antler’s People and Culture Committee and D&I Council, and as a mentor for women founders through the Financial Women's Association FWA and She Loves Tech.
An industry advocate for sustainability
Ros initiated Antler’s annual ESG and Impact Report, which published its third edition in January this year. The report provides an update on Antler's sustainability approach, including portfolio progress, industry trends, and strategic partnerships. As a steering committee member for VentureESG and a sustainability advisory board member for Novata, Ros collaborates with industry peers to advance ESG and impact best practices, highlighting the role of venture capital in driving both financial returns and positive societal outcomes.
