Today, Antler announced the addition of Aaron Gershenberg,  Sr. Advisor & Founder Partner, SVB Capital, to the Antler Advisory Board.

Throughout his tenure at SVB since 1999, he has created numerous fund products designed tailored solutions aimed at facilitating institutional investors' access to the global innovation economy. Against a backdrop of an evolution in returns, he recognized the corresponding shifts in risk as a foundation for bespoke solutions, which ultimately enabled SVB to access the best performance in the market.

Today SVB Capital has over $10B AUM and an inception to date track record over 20% IRR.  The core products are funds and separately managed accounts across fund investments, direct and co-investments, credit and secondaries focused on venture capital and technology.

Magnus Grimeland, Antler founder and CEO: “The opportunities over the next decade for great people to build technology companies solving the world’s most pressing problems are tremendous. Aaron’s contributions to the global innovation economy via SVB Capital have changed the way institutional investors connect with technology and venture capital, leading to a profound impact on society. Aaron's path, from introducing innovative fund products at SVB Capital to his advocacy for entrepreneurs' mental health, deeply resonates with us. I'm thrilled to welcome him to the Antler advisory board.”

A dedicated cyclist and the initiator of the Hearst Castle Best Buddies ride, he has successfully raised over $5 million for Best Buddies and sits on their international board.  He is an ambassador for kiteboarding and snow kiting, introducing numerous entrepreneurs and investors to the sport and fostering a global community.  He is a recently minted Pilot, getting his license in Hawaii during COVID.

With a distinct interest in founders' mental health, he has witnessed firsthand the tolls that the pressures of entrepreneurship can inflict. Recognizing that the same qualities that make founders exceptional can also pose risks to their well-being, he advocates for mindful management of these traits and is on the advisory board of the Founder Mental Health Pledge.

Aaron holds a B.S. in Economics and African Studies from Wesleyan University and a master's degree in Finance and Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Aaron Gershenberg joins Antler Advisory Board members including Tore Myrholt, Former McKinsey Partner and Chairman of the Board; Sheila Patel, Vice Chairman of B Capital Group, the venture capital firm co-founded by Eduardo Saverin, and Former Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Co-Chair of the Antler Advisory Board; Lawrence Summers, Former Secretary of Treasury for President Clinton and President Emeritus at Harvard University; David Fischer, Former Chief Revenue Officer of Facebook; Aaron Harris, Co-Founder of Magid & Company and Former Partner at Y Combinator; Ken Hitchner, Former Goldman Sachs Asia-Pacific CEO and James Anderson, Partner at Lingotto Investments and Former Co-Manager of Baillie Gifford.
